Happy Sunday gentlefriends! As a member of the #LoveOzYA committee I'm so excited for everyone to participate in this readathon, I loved getting to create it and if it goes well we're definitely getting to do more Oz YA readathons in the future! Now as terrible as I am at completing readathons, what kind of… Continue reading #LoveOzYABookBingo Readathon | TBR
Contemporary-a-thon 2019 (round 4) | TBR
Happy Sunday friends! I don’t think I’ve ever successfully participated in a read-a-thon before, and I’ve been really slack with reading physical books so far this year, so I figured why not give myself the chance to fail spectacularly at the contemporary-a-thon! Kidding, I mostly only read fantasy and sci-fi so this is actually a… Continue reading Contemporary-a-thon 2019 (round 4) | TBR
#1 Audiobook | Mini Reviews
The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish 3/5 @suzannezitman I was so looking forward to listening to this book, it won the Goodreads Choice Awards for Humour and I’d seen it praised heaps over the past few months. I may have over-hyped it a little in my own head because unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it… Continue reading #1 Audiobook | Mini Reviews
The End of One Year and the Start of Another
2018 was a roller-coaster of a year.
The Legend of Zelda | Book Tag
Shout out to Alex from Alexandra Reads for tagging me in this! This is traditionally a Youtube tag but I do not do Youtube, nor do I ever plan to, SO here we are on my blog for the first time in over a year. (Words are hard, okay?) The questions in this tag are… Continue reading The Legend of Zelda | Book Tag
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief | Review
This is one of my favourite books of all time. I will forever adore it’s crazy, adventurous plot, the hilarious and loveable characters, and a world so entertaining it leaves you craving the next book. Rick Riordan is a genius and I know my life would not be the same without his novels in it.
Roar by Cora Carmack | Review
I do not recommend this book. If you want an easy read with good magic and world building, there are a billion other books better than this one that have those things and more. I kind of wish I could go back in time and unpurchase it, I do not want to support an author who thinks any kind of abuse is okay, but since I cannot do that I'll have to settle with informing people that buying this book might not be the best decision. Perhaps go buy A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab instead.
History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera | Review
Overall I did really enjoy this novel! It was a great balance of cute, intense and emotional and I am super excited to read more of Adam Silvera’s work.
TBR | July
Welcome to my very first TBR post! This is where I discuss all the books I will stressfully try to fit in over the coming month. I'm in a massive fantasy binge at the moment so I'm glad I'm finally in the mood to tackle some of the more daunting, giant fantasy books that have… Continue reading TBR | July
A List of Cages by Robin Roe | Review
Overall this book is one of the most amazing and powerful books I have ever read. It is one of my favourite books ever, if not THE favourite, and I believe it’s one of those stories that everyone needs to pick up and read because it will change your life.
